I am a senior undergraduate student in the Science and Technology Honors Program (STH) majoring in Genetics and Genomic Sciences and pursuing an accelerated MS in Biology. Outside of lab I serve as the Social Chair for the STH program, the Director of Social Media for the volunteering organization HerScience, and as an Honors Ambassador for the UAB Honors College. In lab I am working under Shelby Lauzon to determine the effects of acute cocaine exposure on pharyngeal pumping rate in adult C. elegans. Following graduation I intend to pursue a career in science communication and illustration in order to better connect the public with science research.
