Craig Peters
Graduate Student
I received my B.Sc. in genetics from UAB where I studied the role of genetic timers on coordinating C. elegans post-embryonic development. I am currently a graduate student and STAR21 scholar in the Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics theme. My project is investigating the role of temperature on post-embryonic neurodevelopment of C. elegans and how other Caenorhabditis species adapt their neurodevelopment to different climates. Additionally, I serve on the executive board of the UAB GRADient student organization. My future aspirations are to pursue a post-doctorate position and potentially stay in academia as a professor.
