Sharrell Greene
Lab Manager
I earned my B.Sc. in Biology from UAB and I am currently pursuing post-baccalaureate studies in Computer Science. My research began under the mentorship of Dr. Carmen De Miguel, where I studied, sex dimorphism in the role of vascular endothelium-derived endothelin-1 during diabetic kidney disease. I served as first author on a Current Biology publication identifying LIN-14 homology to the BEN domain through structural analysis. I am also investigating the role of lin-28 in neuronal maturation. My interests include exploring the intersection of biology, computer science, and bioinformatics, as well as inspiring underserved youth to pursue careers in science.
